All you have to do is fallow any sugar cookie recipe. Substitute vanilla extract for almond extract. Then you subtract 1/2 the amount of regular sugar the recipe calls for and replace it with brown sugar. I like to add 1 tsp nutmeg. This is really important. roll the cookie dough into small bit size balls (Not too big and DO NOT press)and cook until a light golden brown color. You will get a classic sugar cookie with a little kick.
