I have 2 boys who each have their own room, one is moving on from the cuddly characters to the action ones and one is not too fussed. It is coming to the stage of decorating their rooms and without wanting them to look similar it will be cheaper to buy the paint in bulk and use the same colours so has anyone any ideas on how to use the same colours (white & blue) but with different looks ? we have different characters that will stick on the walls after the painting is finished.

well, you can mix the colors to create different shades of white or blue....white painted followed by a different shade of blue for your two boys....lighter shade might be better for the "not to be fussed" one and a stronger shade of blue for the action hero |

With the different decorations, the rooms will look different. Maybe one boy would like to have 2 blue walls and 2 white walls, or blue on the bottom and white on the top. You could also do sponge painting or a texture paint on one room to give it a different look. |

Thanks for the idea, I think I will mix the paints and get lighter and darker shades and paint alternative walls. Cheers.

Decorating the house will give a smart look to the house. I have planned to decorate my new house with different arts like drawings, paintings and other craft works. Mixing darker and lighter shades is the latest trend. |

| Maybe you could have a blue wall in one room with sayings painted in white. Maybe you could put one of their hand prints near the windows or something like that. Maybe their name or something that you say to them. Does that sound corny? Btw.. I'm sure you painted it already, what did you end up doing?
