Default Applying Perfumes

I was taught to apply perfume in several spots (pulse spots) in the body for more effect. It should never be applied on clothes, as it will stain and would not be as effective. How do you apply your perfume?

I do the same thing - apply perfume on my wrists, neck, and sometimes temples (when I want the scent to be more noticeable / pronounced). I never put perfume on clothes, you are right that it can leave stains, and besides perfume always smells better on skin.

Well, I used to apply my perfume before similar with lissy's style. But I found out the there are some perfume that really lasts long in clothes. Currently, this is how I used to apply it, it's in my clothes. However, you should be careful of your perfume because there are some that the color stains on your your clothes. Had you encountered it? It's very much annoying, right?

I apply perfume on the hollow of my neck, my wrists, the fold in my arms where they bend (opposite side of the elbows), behind my ears, and sometimes behind my knees.

Default Applying perfume

I am having skin allergy. So i don't apply directly to the skin. I will apply only on my clothes under the arms. But correct method to apply perfume is to the body's pulse points.

same here. i also applied or spray perfume on my clothes and not on my skin. its easier to stick out stain(wash&bleach) than to cure a sensitivity reaction(much more expensive)

I just spray them at my neck and hands. Rub my hands and bring them to my hair. That's all.

I apply perfume behind my ears and on my neck and between the breasts. Sometimes I also spray on my armpits (LOL) and on my groins. I also spray body perfume on my torso.

A great spot is the bellybutton, and between the two fron toes. Never spray perfume, because most of it get's into the air and not on you! To learn more I suggest you join my group EarthWhispers on facebook!

Why do you put some perfume behind your knees? I wonder what could be the reason behind it. By the way ladies, do you rub your wrist together when you put some perfume? I do it but they say it's wrong.

We do the same thing, Sofree. I have watched it on the television and they say that these are the right spots. I was curious with the belly button. Why do we have to put some in that area?

The idea is the same, behind the knees is considered a pulse point, and scent rises! Also yes, you are not supposed to rub alcohol based perfume because it breaks the molecules! With oil based perfume this is acceptable because your body heat works to warm the scent over time.

Around the belly button is an area that doesn't get disturbed much by clothing, it holds scent extremely well. which is why we have to remember to keep that area clean! Scent rises, so give it a try!

I always apply my perfume before I get dressed. This way I can spray wherever and not have to worry about my clothes. I usually spray my neck, wrists and then a general spray all over.
