Default Oil-based perfumes

I have always wondered whether perfumes containing oil as their base would last longer than water-based. Any idea please? Thanks

I had bought a small glass tube of "fragranced oil" once, and it had a very pleasant scent that lasted well, but it was a bit tricky to use: you have to remember that it can stain your clothes, and if you put it on your skin, there will be some shine, so you need to apply only a very small amount and rub it in.

For me, if you want your perfume's smell to last longer, put a parfum on it...

there are many types of perfume...

Perfume extract (Extrait): 15-40% (IFRA: typical 20%) aromatic compounds
Eau de Parfum (EdP), Parfum de Toilette (PdT): 10-20% (typical ~15%) aromatic compounds. Sometimes listed as "eau de perfume" or "millésime".
Eau de Toilette (EdT): 5-15% (typical ~10%) aromatic compounds
Eau de Cologne (EdC): Chypre citrus type perfumes with 3-8% (typical ~5%) aromatic compounds
Splash and After shave: 1-3% aromatic compounds

does it answer your question?

I think if it has a purfum on your fragrance, then it smell really stays long on your body. Do you agree? However, oil-based perfume like virtoria's is great.

I haven't really tried the par fum. Is it the same with oil based perfume? It's really nice to know these different kinds of terms. I'll try to check out if we have one of the types of perfume at home.

Par fum is a breakup of the word parfum which is french (I am living in Quebec) Forget everthing that talks about this because it is nonsensical. There is only Eau de toilette, and eau de parfum which is slightly stronger, and finally extrait de parfum which is what you find in oil based perfume. You will not find this in any alcohol spray you can buy! I can help get you started, keep in touch!

the highest quality is extrait de parfum which I help you with, keep in touch!
