Default Advising Someone Who Has Awful Makeup Skills

I have a friend who is bad at applying her makeup. Face lines, foundation that is too dark, and even drawing crazy eyebrows, I feel so frustrated with her makeup skills and don't know how to tell her. Anyone ever face this kind of situation? I keep thinking that taking her for a makeover would help, but she thinks she looks hot.

Maybe it's a good idea to suggest things that she could do. Instead of telling her upfront that she looks awful, I think you could tell her, "you know, that makeup looks good on you. I learned something that can make you look even better." Those sort of lines might help and it won't hurt her feelings.

I've never been in that situation before, but maybe you could take her to the mall and get a free makeover from Macy's or somewhere and then you could discuss makeup with her and make some helpful suggestions.

I think the direction that you will want to take is honest, but not brutally honest. Be gentle. Maybe you could turn a criticism into a compliment. Or maybe you could get a professional to tell her that the job that she did with the makeup was terrible, and you could give her a shoulder to cry on.

I really like your friend ship I mean you care so much about her .I have an idea why don't you show her some make up tips saying these were suggested by a beautician to you .You can say that you have tried it last party night and you were full of compliments .You can ask her to try it .This may help you to help your friend

You can tell her that her make up is old fashion and you want to teach her new fashion trends. She won't be irritated since you are her friend.

I think doing it in the most positive way that you can possible is the best. Don't make her feel gross. I mean, you can, but only if you two are that comfortable with each other. Like my bf and I for instance, he would just straight up tell me. I personally like people being blunt, but most people don't..

If she is a close friend then she should appreciate your honesty. I would keep it casual. "woops... did you notice you have a big foundation line right there?" "Girl, were you in a hurry this morning? Because your eyebrows are totally crooked.. "
