Default Packing with bags vs boxes

I like packing things into bags when I'm moving. Have you ever done this? My dad thinks it's weird, but garbage bags are lot easier than boxes to me lol

Boxes for me. I usually put tags on the boxes of what is inside. It's my own organization method.

I must be lazy then. I just toss everything in bags (well, if it's not breakable), the rest goes in suitcases and I'm good

If boxes are available I would definitely use them, but if it is not, buying garbage bags are cheaper, so I go for that one. When we moved last year, we didn't have enough boxes so the rest was packed inside the bags.

My boxes are recyclable. I already use them 4 times (4 times I transferred). lol. I fold them when not in use.

^ that is a very good idea. we can just keep the boxes so we can use it in the future. moving from one place to another is really tiring

It depends on what I am packing. I have used garbage bags for clothes, they work very well in that case. Harder items might tear the bag and fall out.

Abeja, you remind me of myself sometimes! I used to move all my non breakables in garbage bags then just roll them down the stairs instead of carrying them. The only draw back is that sometimes a bag or two may go missing because somebody who is helping you confuses it with trash. Of course back then I didn't really have a lot of stuff to move.. Now that I'm old, when I have to move, I do it in a much more "dignified" way.

haha, we're twins

That's awesome.. sounds like something I would do.. just drag the bags around haha. That would be sad if someone were to throw your stuff away though. luckily, people always know in advance with me
