Default Where do I start ???

I moved into my present residence in May of 2008. It is December of 2009 and I still have about 15 boxes in the den and 6 boxes in my room that are still packed. For some reason I cannot seem to start unpacking them. Any suggestions???

It means you don't need the things in there, donate to Goodwill.

I agree with Farce. Anything that has already been unpacked is probably all you need. If you have labeled all the boxes, you know what's in them. Make a decision whether or not you really need them. If not, there are lots of people who can use what you no longer want to keep

That's a good idea Farce.

I have always been like that haha. I would say, if you do want to keep the stuff, then just go for it. Plan ahead. Pick a day you want to unpack, make yourself do it, and then reward yourself later for doing it.

I like your idea of ''rewarding yourself'' - I use it for other things, such as finishing the chores around the house, as I've been feeling quite lazy lately, or finishing my projects before the deadlines, it really helps.

Seriously, Farce is correct. If you have not had to open these boxes since you moved in, you don't need the stuff that is in them. Get rid of them and you will feel like you have lifted a huge weight off your shoulders.

That's what I'd do - get rid of it. I LOVE getting rid of unused / no longer needed stuff. (Unfortunately, my husband doesn't. And we often have different opinions of what is needed and what is not. )

Yeah you should probably get rid of it that storing those boxes at your home like that. It's consuming up some space. I don't actually love getting rid of stuffs it's my hubby's favorite thing to do (he's getting rid mostly of my unused stuffs not his own stuffs).

You probably don't need the stuff that is inside these boxes do you? Can you even remember what is in them?

I would go with Farce on this and get rid of them to a good cause.

You just have to make time to start unpacking. I'm a sentimental person so I don't think I can rely on other people to do it for me. At least if you do it yourself, you'll know which ones to keep or donate.
