How and how often do you clean your carpets? Do you just vacuum it, or do you also have occasional "wet cleaning" to get all that dirt out? I know some families who invite professional cleaners twice a year, do you do that?

I vacuum whenever I think about it, and as far as steam cleaning *cough cough* practically never lol. Bad I know

I clean my carpet every week and i use vacuum cleaner to clean and yearly twice i give for dry cleaning or dhobhi to wash.

I, too, think that vacuuming once a week is the best upkeep. Doing it more often would be a bit hard, LOL. And of course you have to take urgent measures if something is spilled, too.

Well I washed my carpet last month =)) and it's sooo hard to carry when it's wet lolz. I'd stick to vacuuming to prevent bone breakage ahaha.

Thankfully, I have no carpets in the house, it is all hardwood flooring. I can't stand the carpets as they dust and hair magnets and just passing the vacuum never cleans them enough. Whereas hardwood floors are very easy to clean with a mop and it is effortless even if you do it everyday.
