I have always used boxes and baskets to organize my closets and I would have to say that not only do they look great, but they also help keep things where they belong. I also use large under-bed baskets to keep unused blankets, clothing and such clean and well organized under the bed. Anytime you need these items, you can just slide them out from under the bed, it's easy to access but doesn't take up any space. IKEA has wonderful baskets and boxes specifically designed for this purpose and they come in amazing designs and colors.

It sounds like your closet is very organized! I am trying to get mine all organized too. I think that boxes, baskets and crates are great to use in closets. I finally got my daughters closet organized and it is great. I have some samll buckets with lids in there to seperate some of her toys too.

There are a lot of nice paper boxes available in the market but now I prefer the plastic ones to protect my belongings. There used to be termites in our old house and we weren't aware of them at first. When we discovered them, some of my stuff were already ruined. So when we changed houses, I made sure to get plastic containers rather than paper.
