Smile Being in debt and on a budget

I have a stock pile of medical bills that I am working on right now. I can't shop for new close, get a hair cut, or even go out with my husband. I got completely fed up , so I taught myself how to do the things I was paying others to do. I was watching split ends on style network and they had a guy who cut hair when it was dry. He just so happens to have a curly hair client come in and I watch how he cut her hair. He brushed all the curl out of her hair (frizz city) then just made small cuts to shape it. I am cutting my own hair now and it looks great. I also started to sew my close and I am adding new things to old close for a new look. I am having trouble with finding things for me and my husband to do together.

We are on a tight budget as well, so I do most of my "beauty care" at home, by myself. It is not that hard when you are used to it, and you do save a bunch of money.

As to things you could do with your husband, how about playing board games or watching movies? Here where we live, you can borrow movie DVD's from the public library, for free.

Default Well

Well my husband and I have always played games. It is hard for us now because our children want to play too. It wouldn't be a problem but they just go a little crazy. Okay super crazy.

I think when you're on a budget, there's 2 things you can do to improve your situation. First is make more money (work 2 jobs or something) so you can enjoy all the great things that you think you're missing out on because of lack of money. Second is to save money and entertain yourself with everything that is free and legal.

Being resourceful in times of crisis is a great idea. You could even contribute money for the expenses at home. Aren't you planning to have your own business? I have heard that there are some home based online business that you could try. That way, you could still manage to take care of the house while you work.

Working 2 jobs is a solution many seem to turn to these days... It robs you of your life, but in the current economic situation, one job just does not seem to cut it anymore. Many people I know juggle several part time jobs or a full time and a part time.

My husband has one job right now and is going to school. He is almost done. We live with my parents so I can to take care of things at home. We are in agreement that there needs to be at lest one person here full time for the children and for the many health issues that are in the family. I am and artist and I am working on making Money online. I get paid to write comments for some sites. I have and idea to partner with interior designers and Home Stagers to sell more art work but I need money to build a stock of art to show. I also need to learn more about framing and interior design so I will know my clients needs better.
