My grandma always tell her daughters and grand daughters which will be getting married that don't ever fit their wedding gowns before the day of the wedding, something bad will happen if you do this. With this i always ask grandma what's the relevance of fitting that gown before the wedding day, she keep telling me that's how she cares. Do you believe in this kind of belief? |

I am not a superstitious person and I don't believe stuff like that. But there are many people who refrain from doing certain things because of what might potentially happen - as far as I'm concerned, these are old wives' tales and have no substance to them.

I don't believe in such things, either. And yes, I know quite a few people whose heads are stuffed with all kinds of superstitions, related to weddings and just life. "Evil eye," "spoiling your luck," the list can go on and on.

Yeah I'm kinda curious about this stuffs. Is this really happening? I haven't heard of this things happening for real but in movies a lot. Sometimes it's scary, if you tried it then suddenly turned out a bad luck omg. >.<

| I don't believe things like this, but it does always make you wonder.. where did the idea begin? My mom would probably believe something like this though, she was a very superstitious person.. not that it's a bad thing or anything

Maybe this things happened from the past. It's scary the way people overreacts to this things and the way they express it through movies and stuffs.

I think a couple of noticed coincidences can start such a belief. Take a "lucky shirt," for example. Someone went to take a test wearing this particular shirt, and they successfully passed it. So the next time, they put it on again, hoping that somehow it will help them to pass the test again. Suppose it happened; now their belief in the shirt is even stronger. If the next time it does not work, they will probably disregard it and still think the shirt is "special."

![]() I also have a ring that says "true love waits." I'm not sure why, but I got so used to wearing it, that I feel like I can't have a good day without it sometimes. Lol.. so maybe I AM superstitious to a point.. lol

Talk about a lucky shirt mine has a different story. My hubby and I bought it then I didn't fit it in the fitting room since we're in a hurry the next day we went to return it for another size because it didn't fit in. Right after that we got such unlucky encounter with the motorcycle then everysingle time he sees that shirt he's predicting a badluck to occur. >.< Which is why he throwed it away and I didn't even wear it for like 5 times.
