Default Harry Potter

I love reading books, and i have to say that the Harry Potter series is just fantastic. I really enjoyed reading the books more than watching the movies!

JK Rowling has done a good job, and i really hope to read more of the Harry Potter books, if they will be published!

Harry Potter is probably one of the most popular series of novels aimed at young adults. Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels. The series has been written by renowned British author J. K. Rowling.

The Harry Potter series is all about the adventures of the adolescent wizard Harry Potter and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. They all study at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The central story arc of the Harry Potter novels is concerned with Harry Potter's struggle against the evil wizard named Lord Voldemort. Lord Voldemort killed Harry's parents as a part of his quest to conquer the wizarding world as well as the non-magical people known as muggles, the people whom he wanted to rule.

The first Harry Potter novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was released in the year, 1997. For the release in the United States Of America, the book was re-titled as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Since the release of the first book the books have gained an immense amount of popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success all over the world. By the year 2008, the book series sold more than 400 million copies around the world. Since then, the book has been translated into more than 67 languages. The last four books have been the most successful each of them has consecutively set records as the fastest-selling books in history of literature.

The English-language versions of the books have been extremely successful. Its success fueled its adaptation into Hollywood blockbusters. As of now, there have been five blockbuster films adapted by the first five books in the series. All of them has set new records in terms of collections.

Truly, the Harry potter novels are nothing short of a phenomenon.

Its' amazing to know that JK Rowling developed the idea of Harry Potter while sitting at a railway terminal and watching people over there. Though i like the movie more than the book yet i really admire the author.

I love Harry Potter books and I read and re-read all the volumes.

There is always a depth to be understood in every reading of the books.

Harry Potter series definitely a fantastic series, but the books are too thick for me LOL. I prefer to watch the movie than read the books. It saves time. But it's right that some great books are not filmed properly, so that people who read the books feel disappointed when watching the movies.

I haven't read the series of Harry Potter books. If I'm not mistaken, these are shown in films. Would you prefer to read the Harry Potter book than watch it in theaters?

The books are definitely better than the movies but it is most of the time like that with books turned into movies. With that I am not saying that the movies are not good. I haven't seen the newest one but the others were very well made. Books just always have more info and because you use your own imagination you will always have a stronger connection with the book than with the movie where it is someone else's idea.

Funny thing is, my grandma bought me the entire Harry Potter collection and I only read like half the first book. Lol. It's just so much easier to watch the movies I guess. However, I really think it's a lot of fun to read. I like the images that your mind creates. It's a lot of fun. I'm writing a book currently and I may post what I have so far on here soon

Many of the books in the Harry Potter series were required reading for a fantasy literature course that my friend was taking in college. A lot of people criticize the book for its usage of magic and wizardry, but it is a fantasy book afterall. I've never read the book before, but I would say that it doesn't have more magic than the average magic-centered fantasy book.
