Has anyone had any experiences with audio books?

Personally I don't like them. I like to use more of my own imagination and give the characters my own voices.

I love them when I travel alone on long trips. I use to do home parties and trainings so would travel alot. Being in the car alone the audio books made the trip go by faster.

I think it would be kinda cool to listen to one while going to sleep. I would love to have the Twilight books in an audio version.

I have listened to audiobooks, and while it is a nice experience - like being told a story - it is different from reading. I prefer to read a book, too.

Audio books are a good idea, but not for me personally. I tend to daydream easily, so if someone is reading the book to me, I may not be paying attention and not realize it until much later.
