Default Chick Lit

I was thinking of reading some chick lit just to see what they're like. (I've never read any chick lit before.) Could anyone recommend some really good chick lit to me?

Ooh...I'm sorry, I can't recommend any chick lit for you. I haven't even seen one before. Or maybe I have already see one but I was not able to check if it's of the same kind you are looking for...

I've heard Confessions of A Shopoholic was really good, but I've never actually read it. I think that would definitely qualify as chick lit!

I think even a reader such as myself could be interested in reading chick lit because it's not the same as it was years ago. There's lots of different sub-genres and hybrids, too.

A Walk To Remember or anything from the Twilight Saga is great. I'm not sure exactly if they're you're style, but I love em and I'm picky

"A Walk to Remember," huh? What's that about? I think it's time for me to diversify my base of reading beyond the traditional science fiction and fantasy that I normally read.

It's this book, and there's also a movie with Mandy Moore and Shane West (he's SEXXI!!). It's about a girl who's a total nerd, and a popular boy in school who end up falling in love. I don't wanna give anything away, but all I can say is, be ready to cry your eyes out!! It's super sad and it makes you think about each day as if it's your last. You should check it out!!

I have to admit that the book didn't sound as appealing at first, but for some reason, the fact that there's a movie adaptation makes me more likely to read the book.

In a word, yes, but that's not the complete definition. Chick lit is essentially a book that captures the lives of modern women, focusing on romantic interests, their struggles, etc.

I read chicklit quite a bit and I have read the Confessions of a Shopaholic series and they are great, Bridget Jones' Diary is another great one. I find that the library I work at has a lot of great chick lit because it's not really a genre I like to buy because they are books I only like to read once.

The reason that I didn't read chick lit before was because I thought that it would be too stereotypical of me. Being a young woman, most people would expect a young woman to want to read about love and shopping. Now, I'm starting to believe that the best kind of chick lit is so much more than that.
