Have you ever been a part of a book club? What kinds of books did you read? Were they interesting? At your meetings, did everyone talk more about the book or other things?

I never have, but the idea has always been interesting to me. Have you ever been in one? That is something I would love to be involved in if I had more time.

I was in one, but I found out that I didn't like the books that we were reading. It started to feel more like school than something for fun, so I just stopped going.

I have no time to actually go somewhere, so I prefer online book discussions. It is also better because I can choose between all kinds of different types and genres rather than have to read what a particular book club happens to read right now.

Do you have an favorites you can recommend for online book discussion websites/forums?

If you have any particularly good sites for online book discussions, I would very much like to know about them. I've been doing a lot of reading lately, and I think I would like to discuss it with people who still read after they've graduated.

I think it would be really cool to be a part of a book club just because it's something that I would have never thought of doing. If we discussed Twilight and stuff like that, I would find it really interesting. It would remind me a lot of school. I miss school a lot sometimes.. having assignments and things of that nature.. fun times

When you're part of a book club, do you ever sit and do question/answer sessions about the book where you actually write your answers down or is it mostly verbal?

I'm sure that it's pretty informal, things like asking what was the point of a certain scene or wondering what will happen to a certain character, etc. I don't know of anyone who shares my taste in books, so seeking an online discussion group would help me a lot.
