Default Did School Ruin Your Love for Reading?

I know so many people who don't read as adults because they had to read so much for high school and college. Education almost ruined reading for me, too, but I forced myself to pick books that I liked to read. I still feel like I missed a lot of good teen and children's books. Since I had a high reading level, I was pushed to read more advanced books. I read a lot of teen and children's books now.

Well kinda true since school always gives me pressure in everything. I can't even read homereading books in the library because accounting books are draining all my time for analyzing every detail. @_@

Not for me, I enjoyed books so much that even school (detestable as it was) couldn't kill my love for them. But I know very well what you are talking about; I meet people all the time who say things like, "I hate reading since school." It is very sad.

Not really ffor me. I hated reading anyway when I was younger. I always thought it was dull and a chore.

Now I have a mountain of books and I love reading as a hobby.

I'd have to say that school actually pushed me to love reading even further. I always loved getting assignments on book readings and always did them with great interest. I read everyday for long periods of time and I think part of my love for reading is thanks to the encouragement we've received from my teachers.

I don't think that it would have been that bad if the school actually assigned us to read some interesting books. The most interesting book that I had to read in school was "The Catcher in the Rye." For me, everything else was pure crap. I had to read books in the summer, too. I got those out of the way as fast as I could.

If i'm not that lazy to read I'd probably finish the entire Harry Potter series. Well my sister in law has tons of pocket books I only read one which is the Shoppaholic. @_@

It's hard for me to make time to read. I love the Twilight books and I'm still not sure when I'll be able to finish reading em
