Default Book Recommendation

Has any one read a book lately that was really awesome? I'm looking for suggestions. I'm a big fan of historical romance, adventure. I'm not into horror or gorey stuff.

If that's the case then I suggest you read "The Eight". It matches exactly what you want in a book.

A tale of two cities by Charles Dickens
The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy

Both meet all of your requirements

I would recommend any one of the Twilight books or anything by Alice Sebold, she is an AMAZING author!! She wrote Lovely Bones.

Also, if anyone has anxiety, depression, OCD or anything like that.. I would HIGHLY recommend The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook. It has helped me tramendously!!

Yes, I have read some good books lately. 'The Brethren' & 'Skipping Christmas' (John Grisham), 'Jane Eyre' (Charlotte Bronte), 'Death of a Salesman' (Arthur Miller), 'Of Mice & Men' (John Steinbeck). Some of these are required reading in high school which can be great for discussion purposes, but unfortunately, they need to be read in a timely manner. If you read them on your own time, then the experience is much more enjoyable.

How do you feel about reading a non-fiction book? When I get a little bored with fiction, I find that it's always helpful for me to take a break from fiction and read something that actually happened. Books about writing reference and creativity are what interest me the most in terms of non-fiction.

I like non-fiction books as well, but it seems like I don't read them very much. Not to long ago, I read Tony Dungy's football book. The name of it escapes me at this moment though. I like reading biographies and autobiographies usually only if I am interested in the person.
