Default Reading

It is said that no one will be a good writer unless she is a good reader. Reading is one of the best ways of learning to write. Just reading sometimes can inspire you great ideas to write about.

Anyway, do you like reading? When I was still younger, I read a lot, but now I have little time to write.

I like reading, it widens my vocabulary. There were times during my college years that I read and memorize at least five words from the dictionary every week. Just an addition to my knowledge.

Agreed - I think you can learn as much from the bad books as you can from the good books. I think one of the most important things I've learned from reading books is that it IS possible to finish an entire novel after all - lots of people do it, why can't I!

I absolutely love reading. There is not one day that I do not take the time to read as it helps expand my horizons, as well as helps me with my writing. I believe that one should take the time to read at least a few minutes every day. We never stop learning, never stop dreaming and manifesting things; and reading is one of the best tools we can use to all these and more.

i love to read, and this is something that i have loved doing even as a young child. i love reading magazines, books and novels that interest me. there is no particular genre, as long as it keeps me interested, then i read it. various books teach me a lot, so i try to read different topics and genres to broaden my knowledge.

Well, actually I just enjoy the process of reading I like books, whatever it is about. I also read to get information and knowledge. Though, I try to read good or quality books more to learn how to write well.

Reading is one of my hobbies and I enjoy writing too. I just haven't gotten to the point of wanting to write a book.

I read every single day! Always the current events. I'm trying to re-read the classics. (they are 5 bucks at Barnes and Noble lol). I last finished "The Grapes of Wrath". Really good but wierd ending. I also enjoy the quick read best sellers, when I don't want to think too much.

Everybody likes to read. However, we all have different choices. I like to read something informative. It may be about entertainment and current events. Stories about life interest me as well. How much time do you spend in reading?

It is very important that a person knows how to read. I like to read something entertaining that's why I have lots of novel and magazines at home. I read whenever I relax. Anyway, you could still write something based on your experiences. Do you agree?

My husband prefers reading non-fiction - like many guys, he wants facts. He has, however, become acquainted with many classics of literature through movie adaptations - like Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, David Copperfield, Bleak House, Little Dorrit, War & Peace - and he enjoys them. Some of these we have watched several times together, and there is always something new to discuss.

Reading has really helped to improve my writing style. When I was in high school, and we had to do a lot of required reading, I often didn't read the books. I instead read books about writing. It was very helpful. Now I read more fiction.
