Put a pinch of salt in a glass of lukewarm water and make sure its mixed well. This creates a saline solution and use this to rinse your mouth in the mornings and evenings. This will initially increase the circulation in your gum's and reduce any swelling too.

This was recommended to my cousin by her dentist, and this method helped her a lot.

Did your dentist tell you why your gums are bleeding?

It seems sort of weird that he would provide ongoing treatment without a diagnosis and a plan to cure the problem.

how long did your gums bleeding? having healthy gums include eating healthy foods, your daily hygiene; oral care and using fine toothbrush. Yes, try what H arpreet said. Gargle with it everyday and see if it works well on you.

Yes, the dentist did tell me the reason. He said that my gums were bleeding due to hormonal imbalance. He said that it is common among women.

The most common cause of such gum bleeding is lack of proper oral hygiene. Due to improper cleaning, stony deposits get accumulated on the teeth and these tartar deposits flake off every now and then. I feel your brother needs professional dental cleaning by the dentist. As such , it does not appear to be due to any deficiency. Regarding foods, a well balanced diet just work wonders for your teeth as well as for your whole body. Just learn the art of tooth brushing ...do it in the morning and also before going to sleep in the night. Never ever forget to daily do tongue-cleaning. But, please, don't PANIC.... this condition is more common that you might imagine.

My son has bleeding gums all the time. When I questioned my dentist about this he said that is a sign that there is bacteria under the gums. You have to make sure to brush the gums and use floss to get all the bacteria out. It takes time, but be consistent and eventually they will stop bleeding.

Default OTC Birth Control Pills

OTC the birth control pill can cause gums to bleed. Just in case that is what your doctor was touching upon. The hormonal imbalance would make sense if OTC causes bleeding because that changes your hormones.

Taking 1 gram of vitamin c every day will help to prevent gum bleeding. Vitamin C strengthen the gum tissues.

I had no idea that hormonal imbalance can make your gums bleed. I just thought that it was a bacterial infection or that a person was brushing too hard.

I've never had a hormonal balance, so I'm not sure that this would help, but I would try to floss a lot more than usual and use mouth wash? Ask your dentist first though.. in your case, I don't want you to hurt your gums!
