Default Would you spend your money for expensive bags?

Do you own a bag that is so expensive? I could say i don't have one. lol though i have love for bags but guess i ain't spending my money buying expensive one. I'm just an ordinary woman who loves bags. Just got amazed when my friend showed her set of LV bags. Well, she do have money for her collection.

No, I won't. However, I do have a Coach and LV bag which was given by mother. Not my money. Haha. Most of the bags I buy are medium priced.

I don't spend alot on my purse or any bags.

My mom has a friend who will put out $75 on a purse and use it for a month. Then she usually hands it down to my mom. After mom is done with it, it goes to either me or one of my sisters. That's the best way to get a bag~ for free.

No, it'd probably get robbed on me and then it's be such a loss. I try to carry a bag most of the time but with 2 kids and baby bags and loads of other things weighing me down a handbag is the last on the list, normally my stuff goes in the baby bag, now unless I am out and about without the kids then I'll carry one and it won't be expensive.

We take bags to keep expensive things, not bag itself expensive
If i take an expensive bag then ill have to buy another cheap one and keep the expensive one in it

I love bags and have beautiful collections of them, but all are of normal range not so expensive. I would like to spend my money on my cosmetics rather than on expensive bags.

Well spending money for an expensive bag.........it all depends on what kind of bag it is, on what occasions I would use it, and overall if the bag is worth spending some extra money on.
I don't go out of my way to buy expensive bags, I generally buy bags of a reasonable price and they don't have to be branded either, just have to look good.

Even my bag is too old (more than 3 years now) but I don't want to change it once my parents told me to change it and when I deny then asked me "whats the specialty present in this bag ?" I said " I am very much habituated in this bag"
Just like Steve Waugh's baggy green cap never change in his 19 years Cricket carrier

No, I cannot justify the expense.

I do have a few bags but they were not at all expensive.

I have a friend back in the UK who has no problem spending 250 pounds or more for one handbag. Thats almost three weeks of supermarket shopping for me - thats putting it into perspective!

£250 on a bag, thats a lot, well i suppose she probably has enough money to waste away on bags. I never really buy an expensive bag, just something simple really. In India a reasonable price is between Rs500 - Rs1000 and i think exchange rate is something like Rs70 to £1. Apparently things are quite cheap here so in comparison to UK i would say this would be between £10 to £20.

I have a collection of good looking bags. But all are not much cost. Only two them is costly. Others are very less cost only.

Most expensive bag I've got is my messenger bag. I just never got the hang of purses, they get in the way so much. Also? Not waterproof. My mother, however, has a small collection of really gorgeous, old bags. Only purse I own was a gift from her: vintage, white leather with a long, thin strap. It's gorgeous, again, but I worry too much about damaging it.

I have two Coach bags that I bought years ago and they are still usable and beautiful but I wouldn't spend a lot on a bag anymore. Money is tight now and spending it on a bag is not what I would do now. If I wanted a luxury item I'd sepnd the money on something like that but I don't consider bags a luxury item any more.

Smile Expensive Bags Often Pay for Themselves

As a bag addict, I have to weigh in to this discussion.
For years, I relegated myself to spending no more than a $20 for a bag, and that had to be for a bag I truly loved. But those bags never lasted, and I found myself spending several hundred dollars a year on bags that didn't last, didn't hold up, and quickly looked ragged and old.
I finally broke down and spent about $150 on a designer bag. That was 7 years ago. I still have that bag, and it still looks like new. I now purchase one designer bag a year, and I rotate my "stable" of bags throughout the year. (Okay, I'll be really honest here, I have hit the Coach outlet and bought more than my one bag a year a few times.).
I now have about 10 bags, all continuing to look like new, and when they do get a mark, they are easily cleaned.
I definately think this is a case of you get what you pay for.

I do want to own at least one LV bag that's my greatest desire. I do have a collection of bags but my hubby hates them cuz its so girly not to mention plenty that looks messy. I have this burberry bag and I love it even if it's more than a year old.

I would definitely not spend a load of money on handbags. I think that's just a huge waste, because no style ever stays popular and they are always coming up with different things. On top of everything else, they take up too much space in the closet. I personally have no love for handbags and I would never go out spend my money on stuff like Louis Vuitton.

Yes. I love bags and have some collection. For me, it's better to buy expensive bags which has good quality than cheap bags which only last for days or months. I have chanel bags which are already 5 years and still looks new.

Yeah leather bags seems to last long. I make sure that it is strong enough to carry some loads. Some leather bags are easily torn especially on the handle part.

I like nice bags, something a bit out of the ordinary. I'll buy something because I like the look and because of the name or because it is leather. The older the bag the more comfortable you are with it.

I can think of a lot of better ways to spend my money than spending it on a Louis Vuitton bag. Granted they are made very well and I wouldn't mind owning one, I wouldn't spend my hard-earned money on one. I believe you can get quality for much less plus I'm not really into name brands just for the sake of the brand name.

You could always use some other unbranded stuffs with some good quality too. Saving money is always necessary especially if you're a mom.

I don't think I can ever spend that much on bags.. I'd be really guilty buying them...besides I'll go crazy if I ever lose them or damage them.
