If you don't mind my asking, how come you didn't use the nine months to think of your baby's name? I thought that's what most people do. Have you considered naming the child after a beloved relative?

That's strange to me that many people in India will not name their child until they are one year old... It must be something cultural that I cannot relate to. How do you call the child until then?

My guess would be BABY hehehe. I bet it's really hard for them to give a good name to their child. That's good but to take that long is not quite good. It's sad being nameless for a year but I don't know what the culture there is about.

I personally don't know any Indian who waited 1 year before giving
a name for their child.

Is this practice in some particular region or caste or sect???

If you don't have any other ideas for a name, you could name your child after someone important in history or a person that you really admire.
