Finding a baby name or a domain name? I got a hard time finding a domain name for my website. Most nice, short and brandable names are taken already. Will getting a baby name be that difficult? What did you experience?

| I've never had a kid, but I think finding both are just as difficult. I mean, when choosing a domain name, you want something that's short, to the point, and will be commonly searched for. When choosing the name of a child, you want it to mean something and you want them to like it as they grow up. I mean, it's really all about.. do you wanna pick something that means/represents something? Do you want them to have the same name as someone in the family? Who picks the first name and who picks the middle... these are all the things you have to think about.

I don't have a child right now, but if I were choosing a name for my child, I would make sure that the meaning was something that was positive. I believe that many names have an effect on the child. You want the child's name to be something very encouraging.

In my opinion, to provide a name for your website is more difficult than to name your own child. If you want to name your child, I would agree with Hirami's suggestion. You should look for a name that has a good meaning. If you want something unique, then try to combine your name with your partner or with the other family members. By the way, have you started to collect some names?
