My take on this is that the parents rule the house, not the child. If you have no time to prepare a different lunch every day, then that's the way it is. Most people I know went to school with the same peanut butter & jelly sandwich every day.

If you don't have a whole lot of time in the mornings, what you can do is just buy a bunch of healthy food at the beginning of the week. This way, your child can make his lunch in any combination that he likes, and it'll still be healthy. Just make sure that you tell him that he has to have one thing from every food group.

You can always make the lunch in the evening and put it in the fridge. I decide what goes in my daughters lunch because I want her to have a healthy lunch. It takes no time to throw in an orange, a yogurt and to make a sandwich.

You may want to take this opportunity to help your child jump start his healthy lifestyle. Once you get a taste of that cafeteria food--no matter how unhealthy it is--it can be hard to quit eating it. You're better off getting food from the grocery store.

Well when I started bringing lunchbox at school my mom never prepares it. T_T I do it myself thats why I always end up eating fried stuffs at lunch. The good thing is even though I bring the same dish at school my friends are willing to share their lunch with me so we do exchange meals sometimes. I think it's really not necessary to spoil your kid that much.
