Default Types of Bras

Girls you must be confused as there are so many different brands and styles of bras available. To help you out we have covered the basics here.

The half cup bra
Half cup bra is very good for low square-cut necklines. The straps of this bra are thin and wide set.

The push-up bra
Push up bras are if you want your boobs to look bigger than they really are. Push up bras will give you the appearance of having bigger breasts.

The underwire bra
This bra has wires concealed in the cups of the bra which provide hold and support. Under wire bras are available for every chest size. These bras come with some great colors and designs and will always give you the comfort and support you need - especially if you have bigger boobs.

The soft cup bra
Soft cup bras are a 'no wires' bras and are really comfortable for anyone with smaller beasts, but they aren't as good as an underwire bra if you have larger breasts and need shape and support.

The strapless bra
Strapless bras are perfect for strapless tops. In strapless bras supporting and shaping depends on the horizontal back strap. There are extra-wide back bands and comfortable elastic along the top of the cups that will keep the bra in place.

The sports bra
Sports bras do so much more extra to protect your boobs than 'everyday' bras. It's been proved that a good sports bra can reduce the bounce of your boobs by 50%. These bras are tighter, very structured and help reduce movement of the breasts.

Great information! I will also suggest that if you decide to try a new type of bra, make sure to try it on for size. The underwire bras sometimes fit differently than the no wire ones in the same sizes. If you are use to one, it may be hard to adjust to a different style.

Being rather top heavy I go for any bra that can hold 'em up! LOL! Some days I just wear my sports bra because I feel it holds me up a lot better than my conventional bras.

Has anyone tried T-shirt bra? It is designed specifically to be worn with a T-shirt, so that you have a nice neat shape and no seams. I like it.

I only wear underwire bras- they seem to have the most support. I'm very picky with my bra too. I'm top heavy so I have to have one that is comfortable and supportive!

I 100% agree with Antk-- always try on before buying. It's good to have a bra fitting too.

Somehow, I have never tried a sports bra. I keep looking at them at the store and thinking that I should buy one, and I never get to do it for some reason. Summer would be a great time to finally buy one, I think. Does anyone use sports bras for everyday wear?

I love the demi bras and push-ups. Those are the only two types that I mostly use. They are both great at enhancing the wonderful cleavage look we like to get with the tops we wear. I can't really wear sports bras though. I find them a little too ''contained'' and quite uncomfortable.

After breastfeeding so many children, I need all the help I can get. I almost always buy underwire but I absolutely hate most of them. I've been eyeballing some of those new ones by Bali that Avon has. They are affordable but I wonder how they will hold up?

Its important to know about each bra type, so you can buy them accordingly, and without you knowing what type of bra is for what you wont know what to buy and what kind of clothes to wear it with, in order for your appearance to look good. For example its always good to wear a t shirt bra when wearing a t shirt and so on!

Harpreet I have to admit I did this mistake, I never bothered to know the difference in the bras, and it sometimes wearing a net types wired bra with my t shirt did make me feel odd, but I never knew what was wrong. Until I actually bothered to know there are bras for t shirts too and different bras for different outfits. And as you said it does make a difference to my appearance.

Yes. You are right this T Shirt Bra can be worn under a T Shirt. You can use the The Bra T Shirt with No Slip Strap for more shapes and curves, thereby avoiding shoulder pain.

I don't even know about this stuff. I never bothered knowing anything I just wear it like who cares and no one will be looking at this except to those perverts. =)) Sometimes I do feel uncomfy wearing bra in the unappropriate outfit. This makes sense now.

Well, I have finally bought a sports bra! Here is what I like about it: very comfortable, no seams, hooks or buttons, great support. It does flatten my chest though, so obviously it would not be the best choice for any occasion. I have outfits that underline your feminine shape, so to speak; I wouldn't wear this bra with them.

Sometimes it's so hard to find a decent one. I always have trouble picking one out because all the bras have to be decorated with all that unnecessary lace and frilly junk. It's like it's a necessity just because I'm a woman. Aren't there any plain, undecorated bras?

actually i bought bras for different types of clothes i am going to wear. i usually prefer to wear the push up bras at the same time strapless when wearing a gown and a soft cup bras for t-shirt no lace at all plain and smooth. and during regular days i prefer the molded cup bras. So bras has different styles and designs for different purposes. what particular bra do you like most?

I'm thinking that I'll try out a sports bra. Less breast movement is starting to sound like a good thing right about now.
