I love cats, I just can't resist their faces. During our first year of marriage, my husband asked what I wanted for my birthday, and I said I want to adopt a cat from a pet shelter. So we went and got one. A couple of years later we took another one in, a stray who showed up at the house. We thought that was it, but then Cat #3 made his way into our hearts (he is sleeping next to me as I type this).Any other cat lovers here? |

I'm with you! I love them. We adopted one from the shelter too. Then a stray showed up at our house. The 2 cats didn't get along at all. The stray was pregnant. We kept her until she had the kittens. Then we kept them all for the 8 weeks. My friend took 1 kitten, my cousin took 2 kittens and we kept 2 kittens. The momma cat went to live with my Aunt. She is now fixed and happy. I love cats! |

I love cats. I have one cat that I have had since she was 6 weeks old. She is now 12 years old. I can not imagine life with out her. She is just like one of my kids. I know she is getting older and that day will come---but I can't imagine life with out her. 12 years is a long time---geesh most marriages don't last that long anymore..LOL I will probably get another cat after she is gone. I won't now though. She wouldn't be happy with me if I did. She is spoiled and I am sure she wouldn't want another cat intruding on her territory. |

Yes, I would say definitely get another kitty when this one is gone (which, by the way, may not happen for many more years - I have heard of cats living to be 20!). I have lost pets, and I always tell myself that I need to be thankful for enjoying them, giving them love, and making their life good. Now it's time to do it for another kitty. |

I just got two kittens today, They are five weeks old and the cutest little things you have ever seen! We have named the pair Bonnie and Clyde. Unfortunately, we found our adult cat (Pyewhackett) in the garden last weekend, and she was dead. It looks like she may have been poisioned. |

I love cats too, but dogs equally, I have three of each at the moment. The cats are two large rescues, off the streets, and this tiniest little kitten, cant be more that 4 weeks old. Last Saturday, during the night, I heard this high pitched "peeping" outside my apartment window, and there was this tiny lost little fluff ball, crying into the night, no mum and no siblings in site. This happens a lot in Spain, they get dumped to survive on their own. Anyway, what could I do but capture him and bring him in. He is fearless, attacks the dogs, steals from their food and water bowls and thumps them if they try to stop him. Ive never had so much fun. |

@KrisNY -- I love that profile pic, thanks ![]() I too love cats. Mine is a male cat. My mom was intially against having one, but gave in coz of me. Within a week she couldn't resist his cute face too . And I esp love the purring sound of cats, and i'm eagerly awaiting winter, when that of fluff cuddles near me. ![]() He escaped death twice after falling a into a nearby well (maybe cats indeed have 9 lives, hmmm). Sometimes i'm really worried for my cat, for there are stray dogs all around my house ![]() PS: If anybody has pictures of your pets, please post them. |

I love cats too! They are the cutest things ever and so easy to care for. I have one for the time being and he is just adorable. I am planning on adopting another one from the shelter as soon as I move to my new place at the end of the month though. I just wish I had a lot bigger apartment so that I could get more...

| Cats are such little cuties!! They are just so soft and so easy to snuggle with. My first pet ever was a cat. Her name was Gwenny. I literally grew up with her. She would let me sleep with my head on her body. Hahaha. Sadly, she had trouble with her kidneys or something and we couldn't afford to have an ultra sound done.. I think it was like $2,000. We had to put her to sleep. Actually, it was the month of September. I dedicate this month to her. I can't believe it's been 11 years!! Dang! I feel old now! I was nine when we put her to sleep.. it was sad. She was looking into my eyes. I'm glad she passed with all of us that loved her near us. About 2 years ago, I adopted a little fiesty kitty. Her name was Daylene, but I changed it to Rose. Ya, her name should been Evil. She was really mean. She would come up behind random people and scratch them. She would always attack us when she was hungry. We tried to keep her as an indoor cat cuz I was worried about something happening to her, but then we gave in and she became a lot happier. Sad thing is, she passed away in February of this year. She got hit by a car. Luckily, there were some amazing people who found her, contact me, my vet and all of that. I thanked them over and over again. We were going to meet, but I never got around to it. |
