Default Gave My Dog Away Today

I gave my dog, Lu (the Dauchshund) away today. I am glad I did, because he just couldn't get the attention and amount of time he needs at my house. My dad, my bf and I drove to Enumclaw to visit the lady who I was going to be giving him to and she was EXTREMELY nice. I was very, very pleased. I miss the little guy, but I know it's for the best. I know he's going to have a very happy life with her and her dogs. I'm so happy to know he has a backyard, and he has free roam of the house. It was nice of her to let me visit and check out her house before giving him to her. She's going to keep me updated on him and email me pictures of the dogs.

Love you Lu!

Weeew. My dog is way too sad lately. He has no companion here since her mom disappeared out of nowhere and our neighbors wont tell us anything about it. I think I should get another female dog for him to have some company.

Craigslist.com is a great place to find pets in your area. The cool thing about it is, all you will have to pay for the animal is a small "rehoming" fee.

I think adopting pets is such a great thing, that way-they don't end up getting put down

Reira, you can also get another doggie from a homeless pet shelter. They are all nice and clean, neutered, and vaccinated over there. Most shelter also work on socializing their animals, too, and will tell you how the particular dog acts around other pets.

Oh thanks for the advices. Although I'm kinda doubting that there's such thing as a homeless pet shelter here in phil. Mostly dogs are stray ones and no one bothers to take good care of them unlike in the US and other countries where pets are not being taken for granted.

Aw, atleast you know Lu has gone to a good home.

I have a friend who has about ten dogs at the moment, she is always taking in strays from the street and they are taking over her house. It is a good job she has a lot of land attached to her house so they can be outside for most of the time.

The lady I gave Lu to sent me new pictures! She took him to the beach for a few days and they went camping. How cute!! I'm so happy for him! I'm glad he found a home, b/c with my grandma being in and out of the hospital, it would be extremely hard to take care of him.. he would end up being alone way too much
