Default Vacationing with pets

Vacation season is wrapping up, but I'm trying to fit in a few more day or weekend trips before the weather turns nasty again... and I'd love to be able to take our dog with us. Any suggestions besides the usual hiking and parks? Are there any Web sites that might give lists of pet-friendly places? Scouring the internet can be tiring - it would be handy to have all this information in one place.

I dont think there are any such places apart from parks and hiking places. The best thing is where ever you may pan to go, ask if you can bring a long pets with you, they may have pet caring facilities.

We've got cats, and cats are not very fond of traveling, so we never take them on vacation with us. A dog is different though, I'd probably take mine with me all the time if I had one. It does not really matter where you go, although parks and log cabin retreats are probably the best; what's important is to check whether a particular destination is pet friendly.

My dog is so well-behaved when traveling so it's easy to carry him around. Although it can be tiresome to bring her if I really want a vacation because it's just like bringing a baby with me.

There are tons of hotels that are animal friendly. You can probably just do a search of the area you are interested in going to and then see what hotels allow dogs.
Camping is always fun for dogs too.

I know there are lots of hotels that allow pets. Honestly, I always sneak em in even if they aren't allowed So ya, I'm sure you could pretty much go anywhere with em. Just call ahead of time
