So, Thanksgiving is a week away and my in-laws are coming for lunch. My mother-in-law is doing turkey and ham, my husband is planning to make some chicken, I am going to do mashed potatoes and corn. What am I missing? I know there's more to a traditional thanksgiving meal, but i'm not sure what it is.

The mysterious cranberry juice. I am saying "mysterious" because I did not have it growing up, I was introduced to it after marriage, and I just don't get it why having this sweet red stuff with your turkey is a must. |

LOL. I'm not really into cranberry anything. But yes, I think that is part of the traditional thanksgiving stuff.

I had cooked some turkey once, not for Thanksgiving but for a regular meal; I had prepared side dishes, too, but that wasn't enough. My husband had to open a can of cranberry juice. He can't have turkey without it. |

Haha. I already have the can of cranberry ready. I found a neat recipe for corn with herbs that I think I might try. I need to run to the store tonight and pick up the stuff, because I know tomorrow night I will be cleaning!!!

I can't have chicken without the cranberry sauce. I didn't used to like stuffing, but it's grown on me quite a bit.
