One of the biggest forms of charity in this world is to give shelter and support to a forsaken child who is left alone at his very birth by his/her biological parents to die. there are millions of such children who are like that and really need our help to see the world in a better way.

I agree. I'd much rather give a child that's already in this world a good home and a loving family than to bring another child into the world.

That's exactly how I see it, but my husband doesn't agree. He wants to have our own. Personally, I think it would be great to do both.

I know several families who have done both - had their own children and adopted. You can do both.

I agree that giving a home to an orphaned child is one of the best things in the world one can do. It is not for everyone though, and it shouldn't be done without thinking.

Yeah there's lots of kids out there abandoned. Adopting should be thinked twice, mostly this ruins the family in the future if one doesn't agree to it.

You're right, adopting can become a topic that causes difficulty in the family if one of the spouses doesn't want to adopt. It can also be hard for the children to get along, especially if some of the children are adopted and some aren't.

I would much rather give food, clothes or books etc than give real money. I want to give something that I know will be used. When I see a homeless guy on the street, I'll buy him a meal instead of handing him money.

Ahuh, this adopting issue can sometimes causes kids to fight because their not getting the attention they wanted. We have one girl there on the neighborhood she's a foster child yet slightly treated as a real child because she's always being treated as a young helper but at least they let her study nursing.
